Sweet Potato Snack (chaat) Recipe

Today i will prepare yummy sweet potato snack. it is also called ShakarKandi Chaat in India.

Ingredients

  • Sweet potatoes → 1kg

  • Sugar → 1tbsp

  • Salt → 1tsp

  • Black salt → 1tsp

  • Dry apricot → ½ cup

  • Raisins → 2 tbsp

  • Tamarind → ½ cup pulp

  • Water → 1jug

Sauce

  •  Heat the pan and boiled dry apricot, raisins, tamarind plup, black salat, red chilli powder, and salt altogether on medium to low heat for 5 minutes, or until ingredients get soft.

  • Grind all ingredients with its boiled water, sweet sauce (chatni) is ready. Keep it aside.

  • Peel and then dice the sweet potatoes into cubes (around 1-inch cubes). Transfer the diced sweet potatoes to a pan and then add sugar and water. Keep on high flame and cover the lid for 5 minutes after boiling.  Strain it and give it rest for 20 minutes.

  • Once done, transfer sweet potatoes to a large bowl. And then add the sauce to it. And mix it well. Sweet potato chat is ready.
