Chicken with Okra Recipe

Chicken with okra Curry is also called Bhindi Gosht.

This recipe is a popular dry vegetable in Indian Cuisine usually served along with Parathas for the lunch menu or dinner menu. This recipe is good choice for lunch box with chapati or flat bread.

Ingredients

Cooking Oil → 1/3 Cup

Okra → ½ kg (Cut into small pieces)

Onion → 100 gm (Cut into slices)

Tomatoes → 100 gm (Cut into Slices)

Onion → 100 gm (cut into big sizes)

Garlic → 1 Bulb (peeled)

Gram Flour → 1 Tbsp

Homemade Chicken Okra/Ladyfinger Recipe

Turmeric Powder → 1 Tsp

Chili Flacks → 1 Tbsp

Coriander Powder → 1 Tsp

Green Chili → 6

Water → 1 Cup

Recipe

Fry Okra

Wash okra/ Bhindi in water. Cut the crown and dry them thoroughly.

Heat wok at medium to low heat and add oil and add bhindis. Stir them nicely and add gram flour and fry well for 10 to 12 minutes.

Add green chili and fry altogether for 5 minutes.

Cook them till they are almost half done and do not forget to stir them a few times in between.

Put off the flame and cover the lid.

Chicken Curry

Cut all tomatoes, garlic, 100 gm onion into pieces and put into a wok or pan and add water and keep it on medium to low flame for 15 minutes and cover the lid.

Remove the lid and beat well all things.

Add turmeric powder, red

chili flacks, coriander powder and salt. Mix everything and cook well.

Now add chicken and cook it with masala on medium to low heat for 5 minutes.

Now add sliced onion and mix it with chicken

and masala.

Now cover the lid on very low heat for 10minutes

Remove the lid and stir well for 5 minutes on medium heat.

Put off the flame and cover the lid.

Mix chicken masala and fry okra and keep on medium to low heat for 5 to 8 minutes.

Do not forget to stir them a few times in between.

Chicken with Okra is ready.

Serving

Serve it with hot Roti, chapati or flat bread.
