Onion Fritters Recipe
These crispy Onion Pakoras or Onion Fritters is a very tasty dish .
Onion Pakoda is a deep-fried Indian snack of crispy and tasty onion fritters made with gram flour (besan), spices and herbs. It is very easy to make at home. It is also called rainy day dish.
Ingredients
Onion → 2 Medium Size (cut into sliced)
Green Chili → 8 to 10 (Chopped)
Green Coriander → 1 cup (Chopped)
Pomegranate Seeds → 1 Tbsp
Coriander Seeds → 2 Tbsp (crushed)
Salt → 1 Tbsp
Chili Flacks → 2 Tbsp
Gram Flour → 3 Cups
Water → 2 Cups
Corn Flour → 2 Tbsp
Baking Powder → ½ Tsp
Cooking Oil → According to Need
Recipe
Mix all vegetables and dry ingredients in a bowl. Add water gradually and make a medium consistency batter, not too thick or too thin.
Rest it for 10 minutes.
Heat oil in a wok and scoop a tablespoon out of the mixture to fry Pakoras. Watch the video for clarity.
Fry the fritters for 7 minutes or until brown and crispy, on medium to low heat.
When golden, remove and drain on paper towel lined plate.
Fritters are ready.
Serving Tips
Serve this dish with tomato ketchup, Yogurt or any sauce.
