Fenugreek (methi) Banana Paratha/bread

Fenugreek and banana is good choice for Indian food lovers.

Ingredient

  • Flour → 1&1/2 cup

  • Fenugreek leaves → ½ cup (chopped)

  • Baisan → ½ cup

  • Banana → 3 ripe and mashed

  • Chili flacks → 1tbs

  • Salt → 1tsp or according to your taste

  • Ghee → ½ cup

  • Water → ½ cup

  • Take a bowl and put all dry ingredients and mix them, add peeled banana and mash in flour with your hands, now add fenugreek leaves.

  • Add water gradually and make a soft dough. Let the dough rest for 20 to 30 minutes. Cover with a kitchen napkin and keep it aside.

  • Make a small size ball from dough and roll it into circle board.

  • Heat the pan, tava or griddle, roll the dough into size of pratha.

  • When the tava or griddle sufficiently hot then fry the paratha with ghee/oil/butter. When one side of paratha 1/3 cooked upside down and spread more ghee on this side. Flip again couple of time and spread ghee after some times until paratha got brown colour.

  • You can use spatula to press the edges.

  • Paratha is ready.

Serving

  • Serve Methi & banana pratha hot and warm.

  • Serve with white and unsalted butter.

  • Serve with green chatni or achar of your choice.

  • Serve with hot tea.

Tips

  • Use fresh vegetables.

  • Make soft and smooth dough.

  • You can add more chili flacks for more spicy taste.
